Update: One Person Suffered 'Life-Threatening Injuries' In Crash Near Farm Show Complex: Police

UPDATE: One person was seriously hurt in a crash involving a tractor-trailer and four cars in Harrisburg on Thursday, according to a release by police.

A driver of one of the cars "was transported to the closest trauma facility with potentially life-threatening injuries," Harrisburg Bureau of police says.

The Harrisburg Police Traffic Safety Unit responded and is conducting the investigation. 

The road reopened just before 2 p.m. on Thursday, according to PennDOT.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Harrisburg Police Bureau at 717-558-6900 and ask to speak to a member of the Traffic Safety Unit.

A multi-vehicle crash near the Farm Show Complex closed all lanes of Route 22 on Thursday morning, according to the Pennsylvania department of transportation.

The crash happened on US 22 eastbound between Elmerton Avenue and Wildwood Park Drive and Cameron Street on Feb. 24 around 10:46 a.m., according to PennDOT.

Lanes remained closed an hour later, PennDOT's 511pa shows.

There is no word of any injuries.
